The seventh-ranked men's golf team improved in the secound round to climb up the standings and is now in 15th place. The Sun Devils shot a 10-over par 298, which tied them for the 9th best total on the day.
The Sun Devils were led by juniors Jesper Kennegard and Scott Pickney. Pickney recorded a 2-under par 70, which tied him for 30th and still places him in the running for his fourth consecutive top-eight finish. Kennegard shot a 3-over par 75 and is tied for 34th. Senior Knut Borsheim shot a 5-over par 77 and is tied for 63rd. Senior Tristan Bierenbroodspot shot a 4-over par 76 and is tied for 84th, while junior James Byrne carded a 8-over par 80 and sits tied for 105th. Every Sun Devil either tied or recorded a better score in the second round of the tournament then in the first.
A shake-up in the standings has landed Oklahoma State and Texas in the top five. However,the top three teams in the tournament remain from the Pac-10 with Washington leading the way followed by Stanford and Oregon.
