--San Diego Union-Tribune: San Diego Golf Tournament Features Elit College Field (Feb. 7, 2012)
The Arizona State University men's golf team travels to San Diego on Monday, Feb. 13th, to make its first appearance at the San Diego Country Club in the 2012 San Diego Intercollegiate Tournament.
The 54-hole tournament will begin Monday at 8 a.m. PST, while the final 18 holes will be played Tuesday with tee times ranging from 7:30 to 10:30 a.m. PST.
Fifteen teams, including No. 3 UCLA, No. 4 Southern California, No. 5 Stanford and No. 11 Washington, will take to the par-72, 7,033-yard course in teams of five for a low-four count towards the score every round.
The Sun Devils will be represented by senior Spencer Fletcher, junior Jin Song and freshmen Austin Quick, David Lowe and Mathias Schjoelberg. Freshman Cameron Palmer will compete as an individual.
Last week, the Sun Devils finished in eighth place at the 22nd Amer Ari in Waikoloa, Hawai'i, with head-to-head wins over No. 2 Oregon and No. 14 Oklahoma State.
The team ended the tournament at even par, led by freshman Austin Quick who finished 13th. Quick shot a five-under 211 with a 188-yard hole-in-one and 11 birdies.
Freshman Mathias Schjoelberg finished in the top-25 as he posted a 3-under 213 to tie for 23rd. Schjoelberg finished with five birdies in his final round to finish the tournament with 14 total.
Jeffrey Kang of USC and Jordan Speith of Texas tied for first place with both shooting an 11-under 205. The Sun Devils will again compete against Kang in next week's tournament.

The full list of teams competing in next week's tournament includes: Arizona State, Augusta State, Cal State San Marcos, Coastal Carolina, Lamar, Point Loma Nazarene, San Diego, San Diego State, Southern California, Stanford, Tennessee, Texas-Arlington, UC San Diego, UCLA and Washington as well as several individuals.
