    Men's Golf Plays In Puerto Rico Sunday Through Tuesday

    The men's golf team travels to the Westin Rio Mar Beach Resort and Country Club in Puerto Rico for the 2005 Puerto Rico Classic this week. The squad will play 18 holes Sunday through Tuesday (Feb. 27-March 1) at the 6,945-yard, par-72 course.

    ASU's lineup will include Alejandro Canizares, Jesse Mueller, Niklas Lemke, Pat Moore and Kendall Critchfield.

    Canizares leads the Sun Devils with a 71.34 stroke average through six events. He already has won the Big Ten/Pac-10 Challlenge in Eugene, Ore., and the Arizona/Ping Intercollegiate in Tucson, Ariz., this year.

    Mueller has a 72.00 average through five events

    There are 18 teams in the field, as the Sun Devils are the only Pac-10 team in the field.

    Florida won the team title last year while Clemson's Matt Henrdix won the individual title.

    The teams will tee off at 7 a.m. Sunday and Monday and at 6:30 a.m. Tuesday.

    Complete results will be available daily first at www.purduesports.com.

    The Sun Devils next play in the UNLV Founder's Championship March 11-13, a tournament they won last year, one of its four tournament wins last year.
