TEMPE, Ariz. - Arizona State men's tennis player Chris Stewart advances to the consolation quarterfinals of the ITA West Regional Singles Championships before dropping a hard fought three-set match in Los Angeles. Stewart advanced to the quarters after winning his two previous matches in straight sets. In the his final match, Stewart and University of San Diego's Mirza Korstovic each traded the opening two sets by 6-1 scores. In the third set, in which they played a 10-point super tiebreaker, Stewart and Korstovic extended each other until Korstovic pulled out an 11-9 win. Also making it to the Round of 16, Ryan McBride dropped a 6-4, 6-4 decision to UCLA's Chris Surapol.
