Arizona State: Moves into the 141 weight class this year and will battle senior Dana Holland for the starting spot. 2001-02: Totaled a record of 12-14 on the year with a 4-3 dual mark...opened the season at 133 where he went 8-9 with a 2-1 mark in duals...wrestled twice at 141, going 2-0 (both were dual matches) before jumping to 149 for the Pac-10 Championships where he placed sixth...did not defeat a ranked opponent but did force No. 13 Nathan Navarro of Oregon State into overtime (7-5) and a close 2-1 match a day later. 2000-01: Used redshirt season.
High School: A 1999 graduate of Sunnyside High School in Tucson...captained wrestling squad for three years...three-time state champion in `96, `98 and `99...four-time all-city champion (1996-99)...finished with an overall prep record of 157-5...as a senior, went 45-0...1996 World Team member...four-time Junior and Cadet All-American...a FILA Jr. All-American.
