While at Penn State, she was also a four-year member of the Nittany Lion softball team and was a three-time Academic ALl-Big Ten selection. She began working in the field of academic support for student-athletes as an undergraduate intern in PSU's Morgan Academic Support Center for Student-Athletes in August 2005 and has been involved in the profession ever since. She also received her Master of Education degree in Higher and Postsecondary Education from ASU in December 2008.
