• Transferred to ASU from Southern Illinois University Edwardsville in May, 2012.
• Per NCAA transfer rules, will not be able to play in 2012-13, however will be able to practice with the team.
2011-12 (Southern Illinois University Edwardsville)
• Was named the Ohio Valley Conference Freshman of the Year and was a member of the All-Newcomer team.
• Earned OVC Newcomer of the Week on three occasions.
• Was third on the team in scoring with a 9.7 scoring average and led the Cougars in free throw percentage (86.0).
• Scored a season-best 19 points two times.
High School
• A 2011 graduate of Highland High School (Highland, Ill.).
• Was a two-time All-Mississippi Valley Conference selection.
• A two-time team MVP, Hempen surpassed 1,000 career points during her junior season and would go on to finish as Highland's all-time leading scorer.
