At ASU Was expected to be a significant contributor in 2007-08 before being forced to sit out the season because of a knee injury... After a rookie season in which she earned Pac-10 Freshman Honorable Mention honors, Orsillo continued to refine her game in 2006-07 in becoming one of the team's most reliable contributors throughout the season... Complete player who is also a great rebounder, passer and defender... Plays the game with a fearless approach no matter what the environment... In December of 2007 was featured in Sports Illustrated's "The Year in Sports" issue for her extraordinary community involvement. 2007-08 • 2008 Pac-10 All-Academic Honorable Mention. • In her only action of the season, scored a career-best 21 points in ASU's season-opening loss at North Carolina • Less than a week after the season opener at North Carolina, Orsillo was diagnosed with the knee injury that would eventually sideline her for the remainder of the season. • Was the recipient of the team's community service award for the third consecutive year. 2006-07 • Finished third on the team in scoring (9.9 points per game), while posting double figures in scoring 16 times. • One of four players to play in all 36 of ASU's games. • Earned Pac-10 Academic Honorable Mention recognition. • Was named to the Greensboro Regional's All-Tournament Team after averaging 12.5 points, 3.5 rebounds and 2.0 assists against Bowling Green (NCAA Regional Semifinal) and Rutgers (NCAA Regional Final). • Was named the MVP of the Verizon ASU Classic after scoring a career-best 19 points in back-to-back games vs. Boston (Dec. 1) and vs. NAU (Dec. 2). • Was named the Pac-10 Player of the Week following a pair of brilliant performances in helping the Sun Devils defeat Texas Tech (Dec. 18) and Arizona (Dec. 22). In the two games, Orsillo hit 77.8 percent of her shots (14-18), while averaging 16.5 points, five rebounds, one assist and 2.5 steals. • Scored 13 points on 4-8 shooting and dished out four assists in ASU's comeback win over UC Riverside in the first round of the NCAA Tournament (Mar. 17). • Came up big in ASU's 67-49 Sweet Sixteen win over Bowling Green (Mar. 24). Without Briann January in the lineup, Orsillo made only the sixth start of her career and responded by scoring a game-high 16 points on 7-12 shooting to go along with three rebounds and two assists all while playing a career-high 34 minutes. 2005-06 • Was named to the Pac-10's Freshman Honorable Mention team. • Finished first on the team in free throw shooting percentage (52-64, 81.3 percent). • Tied for third on the team with 18 three-point FGs. • Scored in double figures five times. • Averaged 12.0 points and 2.5 rebounds in ASU's two games at the 2006 Pac-10 Tournament. • Recorded the second-highest point total of her career with 15 points (4-7 FGs, 6-8 FTs) in ASU's 74-66 win over Oregon State in the Pac-10 Tournament's quarterfinals (Mar. 4). • Scored 10 points (3-5 FGs, 3-4 FTs) and had a career-best seven assists in ASU's 87-70 victory vs. UCLA (Feb. 2). • Made a career-best three 3-pointers and tied for the team lead with 13 points in ASU's 75-65 win at Wash. St. (Jan. 26). • Was the only freshman to start for the Sun Devils in 2005-06 (at UCLA on Jan. 8; atStanford on Jan. 21 and vs. Stanford on Feb. 16). • Scored a career-best 16 points (6-11 FGs) in only 18 minutes in ASU's 73-61 victory over No. 18 New Mexico (Dec. 6). • Had ASU's only four-point play of the 2005-06 season at Stanford (Jan. 21). High School •A 2005 graduate of Las Plumas High School in Oroville, Calif., where she was namedthe Chico Sportsperson of the Year in 2005. • Earned first-team all-league honors four times and was a two-time MVP after leading the state of California in scoring in each of her last two seasons. • Averaged 35.7 points per game as a junior and 36.7 points per contest as a senior. • Finished third on the state's all-time career scoring list with 3,340 points, behind Charde Houston and Cheryl Miller, also finished second in state history to Miller in career average (30.5 ppg). • Named the MVP of her section in each of her last three seasons, and was the MVP of the Westside League in 2004 and the Northern Athletic League in 2005, and was a finalist for California's Ms. Basketball award in 2005. • Earned first-team all-state honors as a senior and second-team accolades as a junior. • Had her jersey No. 13 retired. • Lettered in volleyball, track, golf and softball, and was an all-league selection in volleyball. • Won two league high jump titles and set school records in the hurdles, high jump and 100 meters. • Was the Rotary Club Student of the Year, and finished in the top five percent of her class academically with a 3.95 GPA. • Coached by Lael Schneider.
