Was a teammate of current Sun Devil Kayli Murphy at Phoenix St. Mary's, where the two helped lead the Lady Knights to two state championships and one runner-up finish. 2007-08 • 2008 Pac-10 All-Tournament Team. • Named the winner of the team's Sparky award, given to a player whose play consistently sparks the team to a higher level. • Scored in double figures 11 times, including a season-best 22 points in the semifinals of the Pac-10 Tournament against California (Mar. 9). • Averaged 11.7 points over the last six games of the season, more than four points higher than her average in the previous 24 games. • Tied for the team lead in scoring with 16 points vs. No. 10/11 Oklahoma (Nov. 22) at the Caribbean Challenge in Cancun, Mexico. • Was having a strong outing at Texas Tech (11 points on 5-10 shooting) before being forced to leave the game with a knee injury. The injury would force her to miss ASU's next two games Fresno State (Dec. 17) and vs. Texas (Dec. 20) before returning for ASU's contest vs. UCLA (Dec. 28). • Scored 20 points on 7-of-12 shooting in ASU's 69-60 win at Oregon State (Jan. 5). • Led ASU with 13 points in only 14 minutes of play before being forced to leave the game with a head injury at Stanford (Feb. 16). Was 5-9 from the field and tied her season best with three three-point FGs. • Dished out a career-best six assists in ASU's win vs. Oregon State (Jan. 31). • Scored all 13 of her points in the first half of ASU's win at UCLA (Feb. 28). • Was named to the Pac-10's All Tournament Team after averaging 14.5 points and 3.5 assists in ASU's games vs. Washington (Mar. 8) and Cal (Mar. 9). Scored a season-best 22 points against Cal, 12 of which came in the final five minutes (5-6 FGs) during an 18-6 ASU rally which came up four points short of sending the game into overtime. 2006-07 • One of ASU's top newcomers Simon was having a stellar season before suffering a torn ACL in ASU's 62-54 win vs. USC (Jan. 21). At the time of her injury, Simon, who averaged 17.1 minutes in 20 games, was third on the team in scoring (9.7 points per game) and second on the team in steals (1.6 per game). • Despite playing in 20 games and only half of ASU's conference games, still earned Pac-10 All-Freshman honors as voted on by the league's coaches. • Tallied double figures in points seven times. • Earned Pac-10 Player of the Week kudos after averaging 20 points, 3.0 assists and 1.5 steals in ASU's wins vs. Washington State (Jan. 4) and Washington (Jan. 7). In the two games Simon onnected on 78.9 percent of her shots, including 4-of-5 from three-point range (80 percent). Simon scored a career-best 24 points on 9-of-11 shooting (.818) and tied her career-best with five assists in ASU's victory over the Cougars. Against the Huskies, Simon was equally efficient scoring 16 points on 6-of-8 shooting (.800) to go along with one assist and one steal. • In only the third game of her career, scored 19 points and grabbed a career-best five rebounds in ASU's 96-60 win over Florida Atlantic (Nov. 13). She would follow that up with 15 points and a career-best five assists in ASU's 91-46 win against Nichols State (Nov. 15). • Preserved ASU's 67-63 win over Western Kentucky after scoring on a driving layup with 18 seconds remaining. • Scored eight points and tied her career best with five rebounds in ASU's 75-53 win over Boston (Dec. 1). • Made the first start of her career in ASU's 85-72 over NAU (Dec. 2) and scored nine points and tied her career best with five assists to go along with a career-best five steals. High School • A 2006 graduate of St. Mary's High School in Phoenix. • Was a 2006 McDonald's High School All-American and two-time team MVP, who also captained her team two seasons. • Along with current Sun Devil freshman Kayli Murphy, helped lead St. Mary's to 5A State Championships in 2003-04 (35-0 record) and 2005-06 (26-4 record) and a runner-up finish in 2004-05 (28-5 record). •Set or tied school records for most points in a season (770 in 2003-04), most points in a game (41) and most assists in a game (10). Also finished second in career points (2,189); tied for third in career assists (346) and fourth in careersteals (350). • In 2006 she was a Parade All-American, Fox Sport All-American, Scout High School All-American, USA Today High School All-American and WBCA All-American. • Was named the No. 1 point guard in the country in 2006 by Scout and Full Court Press. • A Street & Smith All-American in 2004 and 2005. • A two-time Desert Valley MVP (2004 and 2005) • Her number was retired in 2006 at St. Mary's. • Was a scholar athlete who maintained a 3.6 GPA.
