TEMPE, Ariz.-- The Arizona State women's gymnastics team swept the titles in every event while hosting the largest regular season crowd in program history of 3,053, Friday night in Tempe, Ariz. The Gym Devils, along with the ASU men's gymnastics club team, hosted the University of Washington in Wells Fargo Arena. Pulling close to the Huskies, the Sun Devils fell short of the team title 195.500-196.000

Brianna Gades highlighted the women’s events with strong performances on bars, beam and floor. The sophomore tied for first place on bars and scored a new career-best with a mark of 9.875. Gades would go on to take second place on both floor and beam with the Arizona native also setting a new career-high on floor with a 9.875. Gades score on beam of 9.825 was just behind teammate freshman Stephanie Miceli, who took the event title with her career-high score of 9.875.

The success on beam wasn’t just individual though, as a team the Gym Devils performance toped the 49.000 mark for the second meet in a row and their final score of 195.5 records a fifth straight mark above 195.000.

Sophomore Natasha Sundby tied her career high on floor with her second 9.900 on the season and took the overall floor title of the meet. Sundby and Gades would go one and two on the event overall. The Sun Devils narowly topped the Huskies on floor with a team total of 49.075 to UW's 49.025. Freshman Carissa Kraus took top honors on vault for the first time in her career, matching her season-best total of 9.850.

The Arizona State Co-Ed meet is always a big draw for the Sun Devils, but the crowd of 3,053 exponentially eclipsed the previous regular season total of 2,108 in a dual meet against UCLA in 2001. The atmosphere was electric and both the men's and the women's team fed off the crowd's enthusiasm and support.

Next up, the Gym Devils travel down the 10 to Tuscon to face instate rival Arizona for the gymnastics Territorial Cup match-up. Last year in Tempe, Arizona State defeated UA for the first time since 2006 and set a season-best score of 195.850.
