Arizona State Women's Gymnastics Team Volunteers at the Susan G. Komen 3-Day Walk

Nov. 2, 2007

The Arizona State women's gymnastics team volunteered on Friday November 2 at the Susan B. Komen Breast Cancer 3-Day Walk in Tempe, Ariz. The team served as "Tent Angels" and helped set up tents for the men and women participating in the walk. Today is the first day of the 3-Day Walk.

The Breast Cancer 3-Day is a 60-mile walk for women and men. The men and women who participate walk 60 miles over three days and raise millions of dollars for breast cancer research and patient support programs.

"It's always good to give back to the community that supports you," says junior Tia Orlando on volunteering. "It seems as though almost every person is affected either directly or indirectly by breast cancer, so it's a great cause to volunteer for."
