Megan Elliott steps to the mound this season as the senior staff member of the pitching staff where she'll look to guide the 2010 Sun Devils to their fifth-consecutive WCWS appearance and second National Title. A seasoned veteran, Megan will bring her talent to the circle looking to better her already record book stats. After three seasons, Elliott sits at tenth all-time in ASU career records with 47 wins and tenth as well in career strikeouts with 293. Her arsenal of pitches and speed will look to keep opposing batters on their toes as well as ASU in the game.

Her sophomore season in 2008 saw her post a flawless 20-0 record in the circle with a 2.24 ERA in 131.1 innings of work. Some of her season highlights including 9.1 shutout innings against the fifth-ranked Stanford Cardinal and striking out 10 against the potent Oregon Ducks offense as well. Her freshman campaign in 2007 saw her post a phenomenal 17-4 record with a 2.08 ERA. Through the season, Megan struck out 130 batters while holding opposing offenses to a .238 batting average and pitching five complete game shutouts. Elliott poses another threat to teams as well as she hit .300 at the plate scoring nine runs and driving in 15 as she belted five homeruns for a huge .640 slugging percentage.

Megan's high school career was one of note as well as she came out of high school in 2007 as one of the best high school softball players in the nation. While captaining Calvert High her junior and senior years of high school, Elliott helped lead her high school squad to two state championships her sophomore and senior years. Throughout her high school career Megan was named All-Met four times and was named the player of the year twice. She holds the high school record of shutouts in a row with 22 and in batters struck out in a row with 18, both of which she accomplished in 2003. The elementary education major was born on May 6, 1988 to Michael (retired fireman) and Debbie (day care owner) Elliott of Prince Frederick, Md. and has three siblings: Angie (35), Jason (33) and Michael (15).
