The Ragin' Cajuns (53-4) recorded 12 hits and were paced by two-RBI performances from Brianna Cherry and Matte Haack.

Nerissa Myers hit a leadoff double to start the fifth inning and scored two batters later on an RBI sacrifice fly by Haack to give the Ragin' Cajuns a three-run advantage.

A three-run, four-hit seventh inning, highlighted by a two-run single by Cherry, extended Louisiana's lead to what would be the eventual final score, 6-0.

Right-hander Mackenzie Popescue replaced Escobedo with two outs in the top of the seventh and induced a flyout to close the inning.

Right-hander Jordan Wallace (27-1) earned the win after allowing two hits and no runs.
