INDIANAPOLIS, Ind.—Sophomore Jacqueline Cako was selected as one of 64 singles players to compete in the 2012 Division I Women’s Tennis Championships, the NCAA announced today. The singles competition will be held May 23-28 in Athens, Ga.

For the second-straight season, Cako was named a top-16 seeding for the NCAA Singles Championships, earning her second-consecutive All-American nod of her career. Cako is the first Sun Devil to earn back-to-back All-American honors in singles since Adria Engel who earned three straight honors from 2001-03.

Cako was one of seven Pac-12 players to earn a top-16 singles seed.

All matches shall be the best of three sets. Regular scoring and a 12-point tiebreaker at six games all will be used for all matches. The NCAA Singles and Doubles Championships will be held following the conclusion of team championships.
