Volleyball Opens 2011 Season with Sheraton Classic This Weekend
The Sun Devils look to matches against Denver, UW-Milwaukee, and San Jose State to kick off the season.
2011 (Junior):
Contributed 15 kills playing in 11 sets in debut year on the Sun Devil squad... grabbed 16.0 points for ASU... also recorded two block assists for a 0.18 block per set average.
Long Beach State:
Played in 12 matches as a sophomore outside...collected 43 kills for a 1.13 kills per set average...also posted 35 blocks on defense for her team.
High School:
A 2009 graduate of Gilbert High School in Gilbert, Ariz...four time letter winner for the Tigers...was 2008 Fiesta Region Player of the Year...Clause helped lead the Tigers to a state championship in 2006...was also a member of the the Arizona Volleyball Academy.
Personal:
A communication major...full name is Sarah Renee Clause...parents are Michael (entrepreneur) and Becky (accountant) Clause of Gilbert, Ariz...born Feb. 27, 1991...likes sand volleyball and hiking...lists her biggest thrill as winning the 2006 Arizona State Championship.
