Volleyball Opens 2011 Season with Sheraton Classic This Weekend
The Sun Devils look to matches against Denver, UW-Milwaukee, and San Jose State to kick off the season.

High School:
A 2010 graduate of St. Francis High School in Sacramento, Calif... a two time letterwinner for the Troubadors, Fontes also captained the squad for two years as well... a member of the Cal Synergy and Nor Cal Select Clubs... a libero and defensive specialist, Fontes helped lead St. Francis to the San Joaquin Section Title in 2009, a Delta League Championship and pull her team as high as third in the state in DII... an excellent student as well, Fontes earned Academic High Honors all four years at her high school as well as being an ambassador at SFHS... lists her most exciting moment in sports as winning the section title in 2009.

A business communications major... full name is Katie Christine Fontes... parents are Kevin (sales) and Christina (Property Manager) Fontes of Rocklin, Calif... father was a student-athlete at Sacramento State... born Aug. 31, 1992 in Rocklin, Calif...plays soccer in the off-season.
