Set one saw the Sun Devils open with an 11-4 lead as ASU was swinging .357 heading into an Oregon State (13-8, 3-6 Pac-12) timeout. With back-to-back kills from Whitney Follette and Erica Wilson, the Beavers took their second timeout of the frame at 16-6. Arizona State rolled to a set victory, 25-12, after Wilson went off for eight kills in the frame.

Building momentum in the second, ASU found itself with a 4-3 lead after Wilson recovered a ball leading her into the scorer's table before coming back in the rally to notch her 10th kill by that point. Despite the Devils having a five-point lead, 10-5, the Beavers chipped away to tie it at 11-all. Following three additional ties, Arizona State regained control at 18-17 en route to hanging on 25-20.

Using three-straight kills from Wilson, Alexis Pinson and Macey Gardner, the Sun Devils built a 6-4 advantage in the third stanza. Gardner reached double-digit kills (12) after teaming with Follette and Nora Tuioti-Mariner to stretch the Arizona State lead to 18-5 through 12-consecutive points. The Beavers were unable to respond to ASU's .216 attack percentage in the frame as the Sun Devils took the set, 25-16, and the match, 3-0.
