TEMPE, Ariz. - Arizona State fifth-year volleyball head coach Jason Watson released the 2012 schedule on Wednesday, which includes a home tournament in September and 14 home matches throughout the season.

The 2012 schedule includes 33 overall matches, 20 during Pac-12 Conference play and four tournaments. With the addition of the Pac-12 Network, fans will now be able to watch 13 ASU matches on TV while three will be nationally broadcasted.

"Our schedule gives a nice blend of competition," said head coach Jason Watson. "The non-conference schedule is competitive and will prepare us for the rigors of an increasingly competitive Pac-12 Conference."

Arizona State will give a glimpse of the 2012 squad during the Alumni Match on Aug. 18, at 1 p.m. with a free skill clinic open to the public at 2 p.m. following the match.

The Sun Devils will then begin their non-conference slate with tournament competition that consists of 13 matches starting on Aug. 24 at UTEP followed by the UC-Irvine Tournament beginning Aug. 31. ASU will trek to Lawrence, Kan., for the KU tournament starting on Sept. 7, before returning to Tempe to host the ASU Sheraton Invitational on Sept. 14 and 15 with Villanova, UC Riverside, Florida Atlantic and Gonzaga in attendance.

Pac-12 play begins on Sept. 18, when the Sun Devils play at Arizona in the first match of the Territorial Cup series - ASU hosts Arizona as the regular-season finale, at home in Tempe, on Nov. 23.

"As we saw last season, Pac-12 continues to be a battle each and every week. 2012 will be no different," said Watson.

Starting in 2012, the Pac-12 will consist of 20 matches, with ASU only playing two schools once, respectively. For this season, the Sun Devils will face Washington State on Sept. 21 in Tempe and travel to Seattle on Nov. 21 to play Washington.

"With the addition of the Pac-12 Network, our sport will see unprecedented exposure. Our goal is to be ready. Ready to showcase our sport and the talented student-athletes on our roster."

During the conference portion, the Sun Devils will have 13 televised matches between the Pac-12 Regional and National networks, all of which will be designated on the volleyball schedule page.

Match times are subject to change due to TV broadcasts with the most complete and updated schedule listed on the volleyball schedule page located at thesundevils.com.
