In 2023, Sun Devil Lacrosse's Teagan Ng became the first from Arizona State to be named the Pac-12 Lacrosse Freshman of the Year.
Ng made an immediate impact on the program, starting and appearing in every game for the Sun Devils this season. In her first postseason appearance, Ng had three goals on five shots on net. The Canadian kicked off strong as she scored a hat trick in her collegiate debut against St. Bonaventure, which was just one of four hat tricks she had on the year. In the Sun Devil's win against UC Davis, she had a career high five goals and two assists for seven points. She tallied two game winning goals and eight free position goals with one caused turnover. Ng led all freshmen in the Pac-12 in goals with 30 and hit 36 points in her first collegiate season.
